Hello ladies and gentlemen! Sorry for my long absence because I've been busy with my wedding and all. Now I'm ready to roll again for my next MP review. Introducing........ MP-18..... Bluestreak! Yes he is one of the Nissan brothers and I finally got him in my hand, very very happy indeed. He is a Nissan Fairlady 280Z-T similiar to prowl and he is indeed actually very much like prowl in so many ways. One of the obvious difference is their paint job. Bluestreak has a mix of dark grey, black and red, while prowl is white and black. He does not have a siren on top of his hood, but has 2 windows instead.
Bluestreak is one of the original Arc crew and I believe he was later changed to Silverstreak due to trademark reasons. He is basically a fighter and on his box, he is described as a gunner. He comes in a box similiar to MP-12 and MP-17.
Collector's card as usual. He only has courage rating of 2/10? seriously?
Introduction and use's manual
His shoulder canons are acctually electro bolts. Cool.....
Here he is out of his box, in alternate mode. No complains here, he is basically the same mold as MP-17, just the colour scheme, hood and absent of siren as mention. He looks pretty sleek to me :)
Hood is mode up of 2 window panes compare to prowl's siren.
You can also insert his blaster on top his hood by lifting up a small plastic piece juz below his hood, containing a peg to insert is gun.
Again, similiar to MP-12 and MP-17, I don't like this at all, makes him look ridiculous.
Transformation for Bluestreak is similar to prowl, so if you transform Prowl before, you should not have any problem with this guy. Again, he looks very nice in robot mode similar to prowl and with some sick articulation and very posable.
Back view is as bad as Prowl, too hollow for me.
Prowl's gun fit nicely into his hand and here we have a double wielding blaster Bluestreak. Mine comes with Amazon exclusive shoulder canons and he look very cool in them.
Initially I thought he will be 100% similiar to MP-17 except the colour scheme, but looking closely, his head actually follows his original G1 self and I really love Takara for taking care of all the small details.
His crotch area is also similiar to the original G1 cartoon and here, we can see the difference between him and Prowl.
Prowl: "Come on man, give me back my shoulder canon!"
Bluestreak: " Too bad bro, finders keepers. "
The shoulder canon can be fitted at both side of his alternate mode.
Can be loaded in to Prime's trailer like Sideswipe and Prowl
Prime: " Autobots! assemble"
Prime: " Attack the decepticon!!, charge!!"
Haha, puny decepticon!
If transfrmers were made in year 2013, they would be thinking.....
"WTF, is that an ipod? iphone? or juz a box? Prowl do you know what this alternate does? Its freaking me out...."
Well the only complain I have is that I had some paint blemish on the left door..... not a big issue, but...... man......
Here he is in his former glory.....
With his bro Prowl
He has his shoulder canons 24/7 unlike Prowl
And this is a memorable scene where he rescues ironhide after he fell into a pool.
PS: During that time, Autobots can fly.......
Well, thats all for now folks! hope you enjoy my review and if I only have enough cash to choose between Prowl and Bluestreak, I would go for Prowl.
